Scrum Master

Netherlands, Zuid-Holland, Den HaagProduct

Job description

At LessonUp we want to help teachers to create the best and most engaging lessons possible, to keep their students involved. Our goal is to help out as many as 1 million teachers worldwide to do this and to improve education by doing so. For this, we've created our easy-to-use platform where teachers can make interactive, present-day classes to share with their students. Together, teachers and team LessonUp created thousands of lessons, videos, images, and assignments to work with. And the cool part: this can be used in-class or remote! An easy and fun way to teach - just like it should be.

The amount of users is growing - we’ve reached 300k users some time ago - and we always want to make the platform better and more scalable. Our tech team will double this year and we have some very impactful projects on our roadmap. Which is great, but only with the right guidance. You will be the one to coach and lead them when it comes to working together to continuously optimize the product and the organizational agility.

The fun of working at LessonUp

In this role, you will find some great things at LessonUp. You will be working closely together with Tim (Head of Tech), Kars (Founder), Bas (Product Owner), and a passionate team of 10 very talented developers. As our Project Manager for the development team, it will be your goal to coach and mentor the team while they turn into a first-class, smooth running product team. To help them achieve this, you will guide them on the best/most efficient use of efficiency practices in and out of their sprints. You will facilitate all scrum ceremonies, facilitate discussions, play a big role in decision making, and help them with conflict resolutions. You will work closely together with our Product Owner when it comes to the grooming and maintenance of the product backlog. You are the person that will remove impediments from the sprint and assist with improving internal communication and transparency.
